Our beautifully appointed, year-round guest accommodation is situated 5 miles from the BP Sullom Voe Oil Terminal and the Total Gas Plant.

We are 18 miles from Lerwick and 35 miles from Sumburgh Airport.

It provides an eclectic mix of the old and the new and is ideal for exploring the North Mainland and the Northern Isles of Yell, Unst and Fetlar.

We are conveniently located near all the amenities Brae has to offer, and the Public Transport Network. So, whether you plan to travel by foot, by bicycle or by car, we are an ideal location from which the holiday or business traveller can explore the Island.

In addition to our comfy rooms and delicious food, we have a range of books about Shetland and the coffee pot is always on. Storage space is available for guests with bicycles.

Built in 1880 as the local Village School and Schoolhouse. The car park was originally the playground. It closed it's doors in the early 1970s after a new, larger School was built in Brae. It lay empty for a few years before being bought and turned into a Family Home in the early 1980s. In the early 1990s it was refurbished and turned into a Guest House and named Drumquin Guest House by one of the new owners who was from Ireland and had connections with the small village of Drumquin in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The name has carried on through to us the current owners.

We took over the Guest House in December 2010. Where we continued to offer a Bed and Breakfast service and developed the business further to offer Lunches and Evening Meals to Local Folk in Shetland. Since then we have expanded into catering for outside events, including Weddings.
